Literacy and Lunch is an exciting new series at the JCC, offering an intimate setting to experience stimulating conversations with renowned authors, while also having the opportunity to support a great cause: the JCC's literacy programs. Through our two signature programs, The Lambert Family Partners for Literacy and Gift of Literacy, thousands of children on the Upper West Side and south Harlem who might otherwise fall between the cracks learn to read. We actively recruit and train community volunteers who help almost 400 struggling readers each year. Your support can make a critical difference in the lives of these school children.
